Our mission is to provide the ultimate skin health and body wellness solutions to all men and women.

The owner of TUSC, Philippa Crichton has been involved in the health and skincare industry since 1985, when she qualified as a skincare therapist from the London Institute of Beauty Culture in England. She has had her own skin care centres / spas since 1987, first Ladyborn and then Dermaborn, so has invaluable experience in the successful managing and marketing of them.

What We Do

TUSC specifically focuses on the client– improving and maintaining optimum skin health by using medical aesthetic treatments, combination therapies, client home care regimes and medical intervention where necessary. The demand for healthier living, looking young and reversing skin damage is at a peak, therefore all the skin care brands we have chosen to incorporate are of a different calibre, containing the most active ingredients to deliver faster, longer lasting results. We cater for everyone and will refer if the condition presenting needs medical treatment we do have doctors we work in conjunction with.

TUSC’s key to success is due to the comprehensive client consultation given to each and every client no matter the reason for their visit using various diagnostic tools. This focus on the consultation insures clients receive the best possible treatment to improve and transform their skins with customised treatment programmes.

Another important element that cannot be overlooked when treating skins is to have well trained staff. Philippa spent the better part of 2011 developing an advanced training programme to elevate the skin care professional to a level that fits in with a medical environment.

October is Breast awareness month, so we would like to give you some info on some of the breast work we do, Areola reconstruction and scar camouflage.

Breast reconstruction can dramatically improve a woman’s appearance, self confidence and overall quality of life, but it is important that the plastic surgeon with the oncologist and the patient determine if it is the right course of treatment for the patient. Before deciding on reconstruction, plastic surgeons will offer certain breast reconstruction considerations to each patient.

Areola Tattooing is a specialty area of medical tattooing that requires advanced education, training, and experience. These procedures help improve the appearance and self esteem of women who have undergone breast surgery. Areola tattooing techniques can “create” an areola after breast reconstruction, minimize the appearance of scars, or restore an areola to a more natural looking colour and shape.

Post‐Surgical Areola Tattooing [item type=”simple” value=”” icon=”square”] Areola Scar Camouflage: Many breast operations require one or more incisions at or around the edge of the areola which may produce scarring. The most common peri‐areolar scars are from breast augmentation or reduction surgeries. A scar’s appearance can be softened, blended, or reduced by tattooing the areola scar using corrective pigment camouflage techniques.[/item][item type=”simple” value=”” icon=”square”] Areola Size or Color Adjustment: The color of an areola can be darkened, balanced, or enhanced with tattooing. The process helps women who have discolored or lightened areolas after breastfeeding or patients who have had areola graft surgery. Patients with skin discoloration disorders (e.g. Vitiligo) can also benefit from areola tattooing. Also, individuals who have not had breast surgery but are self‐conscious about their areola color or size (too light or too small) may choose this procedure to adjust their appearance. [/item]
