Pilates – Talitha Marx
Pilates is a mind body conditioning routine that helps build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance by targeting the deep postural muscles of the abdomen and spine. It puts emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment whilst developing all muscle groups, improving body stability and balance.
Exercises can be customised for any experience level, age group, profession or injury. The classes that I do are small and personal, I take everyone’s personal requirements into consideration and I mould the sessions to benefit everybody.
Anybody can gain from Pilates, stuck behind a computer with shoulder or back pain, pregnant with tense muscles or even just looking for a low impact full body workout and stretch to compliment your current exercise rountine . Pilates by its nature improves the bodies strength and flexibility. Rehabilitation of muscle related injuries is improved through a controlled and personal exercise plan leading to greater functional movement and boosted energy levels.
I offer pre-event and post event massage plans with stretches in the session.
Great for the tight athlete as well as your average Joe. A specific muscle group massage or an overall full body massage, depending on your needs. Techniques involve tracing the muscles for spasms and trigger points and applying varying degrees of pressure to ease each muscle of the knots and relieve the spasms.
